"And the nominees are! ". Shortcutz, an Amsterdam platform for (short) filmmakers, invited us to create the graphic package for their award show. We created 11 idents for different categories like Best Screenplay, Best Director etc. Because the amount of idents and a period of only 4 weeks to create it, we decided to keep it simple. We came up with a list of metaphors for each category, picked the strongest ones and created a small story/setting around it. We aimed on a blend of mystery & surrealism. Proceeding our exploration in live action combined with CGI. Although we try to keep it feasible it was still a huge amount of work so we approached a few talented 3d artists.
